Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. (head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President: Osamu Inoue, hereafter "our company") has expanded the lineup of the high-efficiency roughing high-feed cutter ライブ ポーカーl Mill™ DMSL series / DMSW series for sale as of June 2024.
In recent years, the automotive industry and other sectors have increasingly put focus on GX and as such, demand for tools specialized for high-efficiency machining has also increased.
In response to these needs, our company launched the ライブ ポーカーl Mill™ DMSW series in June 2021 and the ライブ ポーカーl Mill™ DMSL series (supporting diameters up to ø16mm) in March 2023. We are now offering an additional 25 items with diameters from ø35mm to ø100mm. The expanded lineup of diameters supports a variety of cutting conditions in the automotive, aircraft, industrial machinery, and mold sectors.

1. Features
(1) Supports high-efficiency machining with ultra-high-feeds and large depths of cut
Complex arc-shaped cutting edge achieves both a smaller cutting angle and a larger depth of cut simultaneously. Maximum 3.5mm/t ultra-high-feed machining is realised in areas where large depths of cut are not possible, and in areas of low feed rates, large depths of cut machining with 1.5mm/t can be achieved.
(2) Stable long tool overhang machining
Small cutting angle controls cutting force toward the back force direction. This enables stable machining without chatter even with long tool overhang.
(3) Realises excellent surface roughness even in ultra-high-feed machining
The wiper flat effect created by the complex arc shape cutting edge suppresses severe deterioration in machined surface finish even during ultra-high-feed machining.
